Backup files to DVD
Have you ever wanted to back up your important files to DVD but you do not know how? In this article I will show you how easy it is to save your personal files on a DVD using a free burning software is included in your Windows operating system.
Here are the requirements:
Windows XP or Vista.
A DVD.
-Blank DVD (s).
Know what you want to save.
Follow the steps below and you’ll be a pro burn DVD:
1. Start your PC and connect.
2. Press the eject button on the DVD burner and put a blank DVD into the drive Shut.
3. If you use Windows XP open “My Computer”. If you use Windows Vista the open “Computer”.
4. Find the file you want backed up and dragged them into the DVD icon.
5. A window opens asking you a DVD. Enter a name like “Dog Pictures”.
6. DVD will start to save your files (aka – burn your data).
7. After the DVD was burned window opens showing that the data were copied to disk.
8. Press the eject button on the DVD. Drive will not be issued immediately because Windows needs to prepare the drive can be read by other computers.
9. After about 30 seconds, a DVD containing your backup data will come out.
That’s it! Burn data to DVD may be a good way to backup important documents, make sure you keep the DVD in a cool, dry place.
